The breeding of Belgian Shepherds is guided by a breed standard. You can find the standard in Finnish here and in English on the FCI website.

Belgian Shepherd Dog belongs to the Finnish Kennel Club health programme PEVISA. That means that the dogs used for breeding must meet certain health requirements in order for their offspring to be registered in Finland. The breed club also has its own breeding requirements.

Males for breeding

A list of males that meet the breeding requirements of the breed club. Each variety has its own list.

A typical stud fee in Finland is € 90 per breeding + € 80-90 for every living puppy, or alternatively the selling price of a single puppy.

Breeding committee

Contact the breeding committee if you are planning a Belgian Shepherd litter. Special permit applications should be sent to the chairman of the committee.
